The OKX referral code is 2THEMOON, and it is entered on the registration form when you open a new account. Using it via the OKX sign-up link with the code pre-filled ties your account to the invitation before any deposit or trade, which is the only moment the code can be applied. After that, the code cannot be added retroactively.

What the OKX referral code 2THEMOON actually does

A referral code on OKX is an invitation identifier attached to a new account at the moment of sign-up. It does two things: it records who invited you, and it unlocks the new user campaign that the platform is running at that time. The code 2THEMOON is the identifier promoted in the Binances Club walkthrough of the OKX registration flow.

What a new user typically gets from a referral code:

1. Access to the welcome bonus campaign, usually a mix of reward vouchers, bonus credit or mystery boxes rather than withdrawable cash.
2. A trading fee discount on spot and futures trades, applied to the account once the invitation is registered.
3. Entry to task-based campaigns, where rewards unlock after identity verification and a first deposit or trade.

The exact size of the bonus is not fixed. OKX changes campaign terms by region and by period, so the same code can show different reward tiers to two users in different countries. The reliable way to see your own offer is to open the registration page and read the campaign banner before confirming the sign-up.

How to enter the OKX promo code step by step

Registration takes a few minutes and the code field is easy to miss if you sign up from the homepage instead of an invite link.

1. Open the referral link https://www.okx.com/join/2THEMOON in a browser or let it redirect to the OKX app. The code 2THEMOON should already be filled in the invitation field.
2. Choose the sign-up method: email address or mobile number. Use a contact you control, because verification codes and withdrawal confirmations go there.
3. If the invitation field is empty, type 2THEMOON manually. Check the spelling before submitting — the field is case-sensitive in practice and a typo silently registers you without an inviter.
4. Create a password and complete the email or SMS verification.
5. Finish identity verification (KYC). Most reward campaigns require at least basic verification before any bonus is credited.
6. Open the Rewards Center or the campaign page in your profile and claim the available tasks. Rewards that are not claimed can expire.

Referral code vs promo code vs invitation code on OKX

Searches for an OKX bonus code, invite code, invitation code, referral ID and sign-up code all point to the same field on the registration form. OKX does not run a separate coupon box where you paste a discount voucher after the fact; the invitation identifier is the mechanism, and everything else is campaign wording.

This matters when you compare offers. A "promo code" advertised somewhere may simply be the same referral ID written differently, so pasting it in the wrong place does nothing. The invite field exists only during registration. If you already have an OKX account, no code — 2THEMOON included — can be attached to it afterwards, and the standard workaround is opening a new account with a different email or phone number, which may conflict with regional rules on multiple accounts per person.

Common mistakes that void the bonus

Most failed bonus claims come from procedural slips rather than from the code itself.

• Signing up first, entering the code later. There is no retroactive field; the account is created without an inviter and stays that way.
• Skipping KYC. Unverified accounts usually see the campaign but cannot receive the reward.
• Not claiming in the Rewards Center. Bonuses often sit as unclaimed tasks with a deadline rather than arriving automatically.
• Assuming the bonus is cash. Reward vouchers and bonus credit come with their own terms and are not immediately withdrawable.
• Using a code from an outdated page. Campaign terms rotate; a code that worked in an earlier period may still register the invitation but unlock a smaller or expired offer.

Is 2THEMOON the best OKX referral code in 2026

"Best" depends on the campaign your region is running, not on the string of characters. The code 2THEMOON is the one covered in the Binances Club video, and its value is that the sign-up link applies it automatically, removing the most common failure point — a mistyped or forgotten invitation field.

A practical way to judge any OKX referral code before committing:

1. Open the invite link in a private browser window so no existing session interferes.
2. Read the campaign banner: the reward tiers, the required deposit or trade volume, and the deadline.
3. Compare that banner with what the platform shows without a code, since some welcome offers are available to all new users anyway.
4. Check whether the fee discount applies to spot only or to futures as well; futures discounts are worth more to active traders.
5. Confirm the code is visible in the invitation field before you press the final sign-up button.

If the banner shows nothing for your country, the invitation may still register but the bonus may not be available — that is a regional restriction, not a broken code.

Where the 2THEMOON link leads

The only link used in the source material is the registration entry point with the referral code embedded:

• https://www.okx.com/join/2THEMOON — opens the OKX sign-up page with 2THEMOON pre-filled as the invitation code.

Summary

The OKX referral code 2THEMOON is applied during registration, before verification and before any deposit, and it unlocks whatever new user campaign OKX is running in your region at that moment. The sign-up link fills the invitation field for you, which is the safest way to avoid losing the bonus to a typo. After creating the account, complete KYC and claim the tasks in the Rewards Center, otherwise the reward stays uncollected. The step-by-step registration walkthrough this guide is based on was published by the Binances Club channel, which covers exchange promo codes and onboarding tutorials.
